Course Description:
Ideal for persons who are already familiar with basic computer skills. This course will prepare candidates for the world of work where computer skills are involved. Students will gain a sound knowledge of the 7 topics forwarded by this European Certification as this provides its holders new horizons in the world of Work.

Course Contents:
The course consists of 4 Base modules and 3 Intermediate modules. The ECDL Standard Certificate is awarded to candidates who successfully complete all four (4) Base modules and three (3) Intermediate modules.

Certification:
The Certificate awarded on successful completion of the seven ECDL Standard Modules offered by ECDL Malta and awarded by the ECDL Foundation is referenced to Level 3 of the Malta Qualifications Framework (MQF) and the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) for Lifelong Learning. Candidates have the option of requesting the ECDL Base certificate after having successfully completed the four (4) Base module tests. (This can be done at an extra cost.)
ECDL Base Certificate (4 Base Modules) - (MQF Level 2)
The National Commission for Further & Higher Education deems the ECDL Base Certificate to be at Level 2 of the Malta Qualifications Framework and of the European Qualifications for Framework for Lifelong Learning.
ECDL Standard Certificate (4 Base + 3 Intermediate Modules) - (MQF Level 3)
The National Commission for Further & Higher Education deems the ECDL Standard Certificateto be at Level 3 of the Malta Qualifications Framework and of the European Qualifications for Framework for Lifelong Learning.
Note that:
- Although the ECDL Certificate is rated at the same level (i.e. Level 3 of the MQF) as a Secondary Education Certificate/Ordinary Level Certificate, this does not mean that the ECDL certificate can be used as replacement for the Secondary Education Certificate/Ordinary Level Certificate.
- The Malta Qualifications Framework determines the exit points of qualifications. The entry requirements to programmes of study are at the discretion of the education and training providers.
